Classic MNPs and Lipid-lowering Ability

  • Omega-3 fatty acids. EPA and DHA in Omega-3 fatty acids, mainly from deep-sea fish, can lower blood triglyceride levels, reduce low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and raise high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, with anti-inflammatory and anti-thrombotic effects.
  • Astaxanthin. Derived from marine algae, plankton, and seafood, astaxanthin is a potent antioxidant that can lower blood lipid levels by reducing oxidative stress and inflammatory responses and also improves lipid metabolism. In addition, studies have shown its potential to improve cardiovascular health.
  • Fucoxanthin. Fucoxanthin has significant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which may inhibit adipocytosis and promote lipid metabolism, thereby lowering blood lipid levels.
  • Chitosan. Chitosan is a naturally occurring polysaccharide compound that binds to fats and prevents their absorption, thereby lowering blood cholesterol levels.
