Studies have shown that microorganisms isolated from the marine environment are metabolically active and have adapted to life in the ocean. The exploration of marine microorganisms from the marine environment has led to the discovery of bioactive compounds and hundreds of microorganisms with diverse properties, such as bioremediation, biodegradation of textile dyes, and bioleaching. Marine microorganisms have become an important source of novel microbial products with antibacterial, anticancer, antiviral, anticoagulant, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and cardioprotective properties.
