CD BioSciences uses a shadow imaging system that enables high-speed sampling of large volumes of water for zooplankton ecology. It complements and sometimes replaces traditional net sampling techniques for the study, monitoring and management of fishery stocks and environmental impact studies such as oil spills and coastal development. Our Services

We provide biomass-weighted qualitative species assays for clients who require a quick turnaround but do not have detailed quantitative data. We also offer single-species flowering scans with a 24-hour turnaround.

    Extensive semi-quantitative assessment of algal aggregates with fast turnaround. The method is most useful when comparing major taxa, functional categories and key water quality indicator thresholds.
  • Digital Microphotography
    We are able to capture and provide high resolution images of samples with or without fluorescence (depending on preservative).
