Algae Culture

Most intentionally cultivated algae are microalgae, also known as phytoplankton, microplants, or planktonic algae. Macroalgae also have many commercial and industrial uses, but because of their size and the specific requirements of the environment in which they need to grow. They are not as easy to grow on a large scale and are most often harvested from the ocean as microalgae. Commercial and industrial algal cultures have many uses, including the production of food ingredients, food, fertilizers, bioplastics, chemical feedstocks, pharmaceuticals, and algal fuels. When cultivating algae, several factors must be considered, and different algae have different requirements. The water must be within a temperature range that supports the growth of specific algae. Nutrients must be controlled so that the algae do not "starve" and nutrients are not wasted. The light cannot be too strong or too weak. CD BioSciences focuses on the development of comprehensive biochemical CO2 conversion programs for algal growth, the development of algal culture programs specially studied for different selected algal strains, and the development of industrial-scale inoculation programs through laboratory inoculation.

Our Services

In addition to developing algal cultures in vertical and/or horizontal configurations, CD BioSciences also designs specific downstream processes for the isolation and extraction of specific compounds.

Microalgae Culture

Microalgae Culture

CD BioSciences provides customers with laboratory-scale microalgae cultivation and large-scale microalgae cultivation in laboratory-controlled conditions and field/outdoor conditions. We strictly implement the steps to expand the culture according to customer requirements or literature content to reach a certain concentration of capacity.
