Cnidaria Cell Culture

The coelenterate phylum includes corals, sea anemones, and hydra, etc. It is a true two-germ layer multicellular metazoa, with tissue differentiation, but a simple structure. The body wall is only composed of two layers of cells without a cell structure. Many coelenterates endosymbiotically harbor unicellular algae such as zooxanthellae and green algae. A large number of studies mainly focus on two aspects of coelenterate cell separation technology and culture substrate. Studies have shown that cell dispersion technology has a great influence on the number of surviving cells, the quality of tissue culture and the length of culture time. In the study of culture substrate in vitro, it is found that the survival, attachment and migration of coelenterate cells in vitro have very strict requirements on the culture substrate. In culture, most coelenterate cells can only survive when they are in contact with the extracellular matrix, and they can only spread and migrate well if they attach to the matrix composed of mesoglea piece.

Cnidaria Cell Culture

Our Services

CD BioSciences offers our cell culture services to meet the needs of our customers. We provide technical expertise and dedicated facilities for testing methods in a variety of cell-based assays and functional screening. We are always ready to operate with specific client agreements and settings.

  • Cnidaria Cell Culture
Cnidaria cell cultures may contain the following types of cells:
    • Sea anemones cell culture
    • Corals cell culture
    • Sea pens cell culture
    • Swimming Scyphozoa cell culture
    • Cubozoa cell culture
    • Hydrozoa cell culture
  • Comparative Analysis of Cell-Type-Specific Gene Repertoires
We provide a comparative analysis service of cell-type-specific gene repertoires, comparing the depth of protein conservation with the estimated cell-type specificity of the genes encoding the protein.
  • Cell Culture Quality Control
Reproducible cell-based experiments require stringent quality control procedures. Services provided by our quality control and quarantine facility include:
    • Cell line authentication
Using your cell, tissue or DNA sample, we can detect contamination in as few as 10 genomes and provide you with detailed data identifying your cell line or tissue. Our team analyzes trace amounts of DNA, generates a unique cell line barcode for your sample, and checks the barcode against a database of known cell lines.
    • Cell viability testing
We check the viability of all cell banks before and after thawing.
