Chordata Peptide Synthesis

Chordata peptides, derived from the diverse phylum Chordata, represent a rich source of biologically active compounds with immense potential for therapeutic applications. These peptides exhibit a wide range of functions, including antimicrobial, antiviral, anticancer, and immunomodulatory activities. The intricate structure and unique properties of Chordata peptides make them highly sought after in the field of drug discovery and development. Peptides from chordates include piscidins and marine cathelicidins. Piscidins pools are an important part of the innate (nonspecific) immune system of fish and they possess potent, broad-spectrum antibacterial and antiparasitic activity. Cathelicidins are a group of AMPs with antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, immunostimulatory, and immunomodulatory properties. Catheterins, which work together with defensins and are found in high concentrations at sites of inflammation, appear to destroy microbes and act as a bridge between innate and late immunity. At CD BioSciences, we specialize in Chordata peptide synthesis, offering tailored solutions to researchers and pharmaceutical developers worldwide.
