Sequencing of Marine Microbial Community

Sequencing of Marine Microbial Community

Microbial community sequencing refers to the high-throughput sequencing of microbial populations. The composition of microbial populations or the composition of genes in a specific environment is analyzed by analyzing the composition of microbial sequences. With the help of the composition differences analysis of microbial communities in different environments, we can analyze the relationship between microorganisms and environmental factors or hosts, and look for genes that are characteristic of bacterial groups or specific functions. At CD BioSciences, we provide three types of microbial community sequencing services. One is to analyze the population composition and diversity of microorganisms through amplification and sequencing of 16s rDNA, 18s rDNA, and ITS regions. The second is metagenomic sequencing. we sequence the DNA of all microorganisms to analyze the composition of microbial communities and genes, and to mine valuable genetic resources. The third category is metatranscriptome sequencing. The metatranscriptome sequencing takes mRNA as the research object. Similarly, through data assembly and comparison, species information, gene function information can be mined at the same time, and new genes can be discovered.

Our Services

CD BioSciences provides high-quality, low-cost one-stop genome sequencing services including DNA/RNA extraction, library preparation, sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis of marine microbial community. CD BioSciences has established a standardized operation laboratory and high-throughput sequencing technology platform, equipped with high-throughput sequencing instruments such as Illumina HiSeq 2500 and HiSeq 4000.

  • 16S rRNA Sequencing
The research object of 16S rRNA sequencing is only the 16S rDNA of bacteria, so 16S sequencing technology is only used to study community species information. Therefore, we use this analysis to understand how the environment affects the composition of the microbes, conducting a one-way relationship study.
  • Metagenomic Sequencing
The research object of metagenomics is all the DNA of the community, so the research scope is wider. We also use the annotation information of genes to mine the core function and pathway information of the community and conduct a two-way study of microorganisms and the environment.
  • Metatranscriptome Sequencing
Metatranscriptome takes mRNA as the research object, we use metatranscriptome sequencing to mine species information, gene function information, and discover new genes.
